It's all very exciting for us here at the Submarine Museum in Gosport, as we learn how to use our new blog facility. We plan to use this method of communication to update you with insights from the curatorial department, behind the scenes of the Alliance Project and exciting developments from the world of submarines.

My father was a submariner during ww 2. On the death of my mother some papers have come into my possesion. The most interesting is a piece of paper that seems to something the crew kept that recorded their kills. It is very fragile and is only partially intact. Anybody know if the musuem would be interested in it?
Hiya! So sorry it has taken us so long to reply. This blog is brand new to us so we are still working out how to use it! I can't answer you question but I will forward your comment onto our curatorial department who will be in touch. However they get many questions like this so please just bear with us a little longer.
Thank you.

Great site. Would appreciate somewhere where I could register my email details to be kept updated on Alliance preservation project. I live in USA these days and don't see much UK news.
Thanks
