Museum Collections

The Archive consists of an extensive paper collection and library and holds documents and books that chart the history of submarine development as well as some service documents. For more information please visit the Archive pages.

The vast Photographic Archive holds images depicting the RN Submarine Service from its inception in 1901 with HM Torpedo Boat No. 1 (aka ‘Holland 1’) to the latest ‘Astute-class’ submarines. For more information please visit the Photograph pages.
